The One Piece of Advice That People in Their Fifties Would Tell Their 30-Year-Old Selves

“Your mind’s acceptance of age is 10 to 15 years behind your body’s aging. Your health will go faster than you think but it will be very hard to notice, not the least because you don’t want it to happen.” (Gary, 55)

We all know that we must take care of our health. We all know to eat better and exercise more however people don’t begin to enact this advice until they are older and their health has broken down from years of bad eating and abusive health habits. In a recently conducted study, those in their 50’s were asked what advice they would give their younger 30-something selves. The response was loud and unanimous:

Get healthy and stay healthy now, while you are young!

People’s points were pretty much all the same: the way you treat your body has a cumulative effect; it’s not that your body suddenly breaks down one year, it’s been breaking down all along without you noticing. Your 30’s is the decade to slow down that breakage.

The people polled were cancer survivors, heart attack survivors, stroke survivors, people with diabetes and blood pressure problems, joint issues and chronic pain. They all said the same thing:

“If I could go back, I would start eating better and exercising and I would not stop. I made excuses then. But I had no idea”

Navigating menopause and the decades from our 40’s onwards will be so much easier if you are already slim, healthy and active. If you’re not, it will be alot harder to fight back when you are already obese, have diabetes, high blood pressure and other health problems. You will struggle to lose weight and undo the damage you’ve done to yourself. Why reduce the quality of your life and reduce your lifespan? Unfortunately the vast majority of Americans do.

Do yourself a favor and start eating a LCHF diet and moving your body NOW – don’t wait until you become prematurely old and sick. Why be old and sick in your 50’s when you could maintain the sprightly body and great health you have in your 20’s and 30’s?

As they say, an ounce of prevention is much better than a cure.

Value yourself, your body, your family and your life now and you will not suffer later!

If you are in your 30’s and have started to gain weight and you are starting to experience health problems, please do not wait until you are crippled and your body is almost completely broken. Get healthy now! You can reverse the deterioration by taking action NOW! Start losing those extra pounds and learn good eating habits with our easy to use personalized weight loss plan and healthy LCHF cook books and resources and start turning your life around TODAY.
